Last night at Hartwood Park the Bath Rams were able to ease past the Le Roy Football team by a final score of 32-6 on the Knight’s Homecoming Night. The story of the game was the Rams’ defense, behind which Bath has now outscored their first four opponents by a combined score of 166-12.

Beginning the game on Friday night Bath got out to a quick lead, as just 2:10 into the contest RB Connor DiDomineck took a 48-yard run all the way for 6 points to put his team ahead. The two-point try following the touchdown was successful – making the score 8-0 Rams early-on.

Following the game’s first score, minutes would pass without either side mustering any further offense, until a 63-yard touchdown run from Bath’s Patrick Brewer opened the second quarter. With the Rams scoring their second touchdown of the game, the score was now 16-0 following another successful two-point try as the Knights faced an uphill battle for the remainder of the game.

Le Roy was unable to cut the score going into the halftime break, and instead allowed the Rams to add to their lead before each side would head to their respective locker rooms. This time, a 37-yard run from Bath quarterback Michael Rice did the damage for the Rams, and after another successful two-point try – it was now 24-0.

The score would remain that way heading into halftime – leaving little room for the Knights to forge a comeback in the second half. Out of the intermission, however, it would be indeed be Le Roy who struck first – albeit not until the final frame.

Capping off a 24-yard drive, Dominic Filio scored for the Knights just :47 into the fourth quarter in order to cut their deficit to 24-6. However, it seemed too little too late for the home team, as Bath would put the dagger in the heart of Le Roy fans with 3:30 to go in the game, as Brewer scored his second touchdown of the game following a Knights’ muffed punt. After yet another successful two-point attempt, the score would inflate to 32-6 – which is where it would finish.

With the loss, Le Roy now moves to 3-1 on the season and will take on Hornell next week on the road.
