OA’s Allen Chatt had a fine game last night in the rain.

The Oakfield Football team handled CG Finney on Saturday night, as the Hornets rode their quarterback Allen Chatt’s four touchdowns en route to a twenty-point victory. Despite throwing an interception early-on in the contest last night, Chatt was relatively perfect for the Oakfield offense throughout the remainder of the night and led his team to the big win.

Despite the inclement weather, Oakfield found success through the passing game.

In total versus the Falcons, Chatt completed 10 of 18 passes for 192 yards, while also recording 104 yards rushing on 6 carries – to go with his 4 scores (1 pass, 3 rush). His main target throughout the night in the passing game was Reice Woodward, as the duo connected for an 85-yard touchdown in the first half. In addition to the long TD, Woodward caught 4 other balls as well – totaling 161 receiving yards at game’s end.

The Oakfield defense also performed extremely well.

Outside of Chatt and Woodward, Oakfield’s Jon Harris also had a strong day running the football. Harris carried the ball 9 times for 97 yards – while also leading the team with 13 tackles on defense. Ismile Smith also put forth a strong effort defensively for the Hornets, recording 10.5 tackles of his own. Chatt added 8 tackles and a fumble recovery defensively.

Saturday’s win was a big one for Oakfield, who now sit at 1-1 after splitting their first two games of the 2015 regular season. Next up for the Hornets will be Pembroke in Week 3 – who sit at 0-2.
