Despite being the first team to score on Friday night, the Notre Dame Football team was unable to keep up with the vaunted Bishop Kearney passing game – falling to the Kings 30-15.
Leading the way for BK in their victory was highly-touted quarterback Todd LaRocca, who finished 12/19 for 181 yards passing and 3 touchdowns. His top target, WR Justin Davis, also had a fine night for his team – recording 5 receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown.
For Notre Dame in defeat, Connor Logsdon had a decent day under center stat-wise, going 4/9 for 85 yards and a touchdown – but unfortunately added an interception to go with it. Also for the Irish, Jack Sutherland again ran well finishing with 102 yards on 23 carries, and also caught a long touchdown pass out of the backfield which helped him accumulate 85 yards receiving on four catches.
Peter Daversa scored the lone rushing touchdown for ND and finished with 8 carries for 39 yards. On defense, CJ Suozzi came away with 8 tackles for the Irish, 1 for a loss.
With the loss, ND’s first of the season, the Irish are now 4-1 and will await a tough matchup with Attica next week.
