The Cal-Mum Football team overcome a gritty Geneseo squad last night behind sound performances from Chirs Hinkley as well as kicker Josh Roides.
A 7-6 game after one quarter, two Roides kicks kept them afloat heading into the fourth quarter – as they led the Blue Devils 13-12. During the final frame, Hinkley came through for the second time in the game, scoring his second touchdown and increasing the Raiders’ lead to 20-12 (following the Roides’ PAT) – eventually winning the game by the same eight-point margin.
Final score: Cal-Mum 20 Geneseo 12.
Running back Chris Hinkley finished with 110 yards on 30 carries for Cal-Mum, while QB Nick Harmon totaled 11 completions for 150 yards.
Next up for the Red Raiders (3-0) will be a matchup with York/Pavilion next week.
