This past week I communicated with the head coach of the Attica Blue Devils, who after his team’s practice, shed light on where his group is at heading into their matchup with Le Roy.

AB: After a disappointing end to last season vs ER/G in Sectionals, what have you told your guys going into this game to ensure an early exit doesn’t happen again?

RC: “The reason why we scrimmaged Alden, and played U Prep was to get us ready for Sectionals and try to make a run.”

AB: Le Roy is a good team. What do you think will be most important for you guys when you go up against them this weekend?

RC: “Le Roy is a very good team with a great RB and a physical offensive line, as well as a good quarterback and very talented WRs. Their defense is also well coached. We need to make few mistakes and not turn the ball over tonight.”

AB: Do you believe your team has what it takes to move on to the late rounds of Sectionals?

RC: “Yes I think we can make a run.”

AB: How proud of this group are you after losing so many players to graduation last year, yet still able to maintain success during regular season?

RC: “We lost a lot of great athletes but this team has gotten better every day and we are very young this year and getting better every week.”

AB: Any additional thoughts on upcoming game?

RC: “I think it is going to be a great game and I really think it is going to come down to who makes the least mistakes. Special teams is going to make a huge difference in the outcome.”

Tonight, the Attica Blue Devils face-off with the Le Roy Knights at Attica High School at 7:00 pm. Should be a great game.
