It was an exciting first night of the Section V Football Playoffs, with all four local squads coming through with big victories in the quarterfinal round. There was a long list of incredible individual performances, in addition to the four solid team-efforts, which wound up in each squad’s respective win.

Here is a list of the most-noteworthy performances from Friday night:

Chris McClinic (Alexander RB) – 24 carries, 188 yards rushing, 4 rushing TDs vs CG Finney

Le Roy Defense – Held Letchworth/Warsaw to 107 yards of total offense, and pitched a shutout vs Letchworth/Warsaw

Ray Leach (Batavia RB) – 1 rushing TD, 1 kick return TD, 1 INT on defense vs Wayne

Today, we have one more quarterfinal matchup to look forward to, as Cal-Mum/Byron-Bergen will take on Penn Yan in Class C.
