Kendall’s Evan Gaesser performed extremely well at his last GR League Golf Championship on Monday afternoon, as the future La Salle Explorer dropped a match-low 74 to lead all golfers at Stafford Country Club.
Gaesser, a career 37 for nine holes, shot his average at SCC yesterday which was plenty good enough to defeat second place Matt Genaway (81) of Alexander, and third place Jacob Adams (82) – who just happens to be Evan’s teammate at Kendall. Fourth place went to Attica’s Ian Brotherton (83), and rounding out the top-5 was Ben Pflaumer (87) and Dakota Dillon (87) of Elba.
As far as teams were concerned on Monday, Oakfield/Elba finished with a team score of 360, while Attica/Alexander recorded a final 369 – which was good enough to earn each squad a bid for Sectionals.
