After careful deliberation, here are my top-4 teams in the GR League:
1. Wheatland-Chili
The Wildcats have begun the season an impressive 4-0, including a big win over ND last week. Look for this group to stay the course and be at the top near the end of the season – with a chance to win a GR League Title.
2. Alexander
Alexander has suffered just one loss this season – to Warsaw – and recently beat up on league foe Oakfield. The Trojans are for real.
3. Notre Dame
Notre Dame recently fell to Wheatland-Chili, and have suffered two losses to date (the other coming to Gates-Chili). The Irish are solid, but a matchup with Alexander looming a bit later this season will give us a clearer view of the 2-3 slots.
4. Oakfield
Oakfield is much improved from a season ago, but a major slip-up vs Alexander last week causes them to be on the bottom of the Power-4.
