Alexander Football dropped Oakfield in blowout fashion last night by a final score of 46-12. It was the second-consecutive lopsided victory for the Trojans – who seem to be making a strong push towards the postseason.

The Trojans’ top performer in victory was without a doubt Dane Heberlein.

Heberlein recorded a career night vs Oakfield, according to his coach, as the running back/free safety racked up a total of 100 yards rushing on 16 carries – including 4 touchdowns. Also, on defense, Heberlein came away with 3 interceptions on the night – which gives him a shocking 7 total this season. In comparison, through 3 weeks in the NFL, Aqib Talib leads the league in INTs with 2.

Also performing very well for Alexander was RB Jake Wozniak, who not only recorded 219 rushing yards to go with a rushing score, but also threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to WR Derrick Busch just before the end of the first half.

Defensively for Alexander, Josh Szymanski and Zach Jasen each came away with 6 tackles a piece.

RB Jon Harris had a 12-yard touchdown run for the Hornets.

With the win, Alexander improves to 3-2 on the year while Oakfield drops to 2-3. The Trojans get Pembroke next week, while Oakfield will take on Holley.
