The Holley Softball team picked up win number one on Wednesday night, defeating non-league opponent Lima Christian by the final score of 19-8.

Madison Marsh started the game in the circle for the Hawks and went a complete game while striking out seven, but it was her battery mate Jocelyn Chilton who led the team to victory.

Not only was Chilton able to throw out two potential base stealers from her position behind the plate, she also propelled the team from the batter’s box with a 3/4, 4 RBI day.

Her teammate Halee Passarell also finished 3/4 on the day and stole an incredible five bases, while Madison Papaj chipped in with 2 hits, 2 RBI, and 4 SB. Rounding out the list of Holley’s top-performers offensively was Jade Hoffarth who went 2/4 with 4 RBI.

With the win, the Hawks are now 1-0.
