The Le Roy Boys Basketball team was able to knock off rival Cal-Mum last night by a final score of 66-54. It was the second-consectuvie big win over rival competition for the Knights, who now seem to be on quite a roll at just the right time.

Le Roy was paced by Tom Dunn on the night who had 20 points to go with 3 rebounds and 2 assists, while Nick Egeling recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds, and Ryan Boyce recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds.

For the Red Raiders, Marcus Middleton finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Cal-Mum lost guard Shai Nelson to a wrist injury in the second quarter, and he may be out for an extended period of time going forward.

The game began with Cal-Mum taking a 6-point lead after the first quarter, which they never looked back from – winning the game by 12.

“Dunn and Egeling were spectacular (tonight),” said LR head coach Rick Rapone following the game. “We are turning the corner. I am so proud of the direction we are going.”
