The Knights are one of the most-experienced teams in all of the LCAA this season, but will have work to do before they declare themselves as a member of the League’s elite.  Here is a brief preview of their upcoming slate:

Le Roy Knights

Head Coach: John Palillo Jr.

Record Last Season: 7-14

Key Players

Lydia Borrelli (Senior) – Lydia averaged just 8 points per game this season, but will be looking to increase that number as one of the team’s leading talents.

Erin Cappotelli (Senior) – Erin has been a mainstay on the LR varsity squad the past four seasons, and hopes her fifth in black and red will be her team’s most-successful.

Coach’s Outlook

“Our team went from being one of the youngest in the league (last season) to one of the oldest (this season) with seven seniors.

I would like to think that we have an aggressive style of play that will make us very hard to play and we can compete for the league title.

We are a team that depends on playing hard, and playing together. We lost some close games last year and I we hope to turn those losses around, and make someone else travel to our gym in the sectionals.”

– Le Roy HC John Palillo Jr.
