The Notre Dame Hockey team defeated a tough Rush-Henrietta team last night by a final score of 6-3. The Irish were without leading-scorer Cameron Clark on Tuesday, as he was out due to suspension as a result of a scrum he got into to during ND’s game vs Geneva. He will also be out for the Irish upcoming game vs Batavia on Saturday as well.

Despite being without Clark, though, ND was able to score 6 goals anyway.

Leading the way for ND was Batavia’s Best of the Night recipient Ryan Webster, who scored 2 goals to go with an assist, while Henrik Toiviainen was just behind him with one goal and two assists himself. Brad Misiak also played well once again for the Irish, recording one goal and one assist. Goalie Ethan Conrad made 13 saves for ND on 16 shots. ND outshot Rush 45-16 in the game.

Coming up on Saturday, ND will follow up their win over the Comets with a tough game vs Batavia. If the Irish win or tie, Batavia and ND will play in the first round of sectionals as well.
