The Notre Dame Hockey team earned another victory on Thursday night, as they were able to skate past Geneva/Waterloo/Romulus behind a three-point night from Sophomore Ryan Webster. Finishing with 1 goal and 2 assists, Webster joined teammates Ethan Hutchins (2 goals), Larry Infantino (1 goal), and Ryan Antinore (1 assist) who also recorded points in the victory – while Freshman goaltender Ethan Conrad finished with 19 saves on 20 shots.

“I was very happy with the way we played,” said ND head coach Marc Staley of his team’s effort. “We didn’t play quite as well as we did against Geneseo the other night, but we played good enough to get it done. Geneva is a much-improved team this year and seemingly get better with each game, so I was very impressed with our defensive effort tonight.”

Going forward, Notre Dame will take on Class A opponent Rush-Henrietta on Tuesday night at 8 o’clock, and they will round out the season with a Valentines Day matchup with Batavia at Falletti Ice Arena. The Irish are now 9-9, which for such a young team, is highly impressive, and I expect them to make some noise during Sectionals.
