Reigle records triple-double as Elba Girls Basketball crushes Alden

The Elba Girls Basketball team defeated Alden this afternoon by a score of 66-33. Alex Reigle really had it going for the Lancers throughout the contest and recorded her first triple-double of the season, finishing with a total of 27 points when it was all said and done. She added to her strong scoring output with 10 steals, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds in order to complete the stat-stuffing performance. With the win Elba is now 5-1 and will face Oakfield next on January 6th.

Today’s game began with the Lancers immediately jumping out to an impressive 15-point lead after the first quarter. Sparking the onslaught offensively was Reigle as she finished with 8 points during the opening frame, and over the next three quarters Elba would add to their lead considerably. When it was all said and done the Lancers won by 33.

Also contributing in the victory for Elba was Alyssa Bogue, who capitalized on many of Reigle’s assists while finding her way to 21 points.
