Here are the results from the Section V Class BB Wrestling Championships which were held at Warsaw High School this past Friday and Saturday:

Championship Finals (1st and 2nd place)
In the first and second place matches on Saturday, the Genesee Region had several wrestlers participating – most of which at the lower weights. For Alexander during the Finals, Nick Young defeated Sam Wolf of Warsaw in order to claim the 99 pound title (6-2). Also for the Trojans, Dane Heberlein finished on top of the podium as he was able to overcome Josh Grisewood (also of Warsaw) via pinfall (3:00). At 1:26 pounds, Nick Gaiser was the last of Alexander’s winners as he defeated ER’s Hunter O’Lena for the title (5-0).
Le Roy’s Jon Lauricella also walked away a winner on Saturday, crushing Mason Gray of Warsaw 8-0, while B-B/Elba’s Danny Khomitch also won his weight class (160 lbs) – defeating Josh Griffith 5-1. Tristan Aldinger (Alexander) , Martin Beadle (Holley), and Lucas Silvis (Holley) all fell in the finals in their respective weight classes.
