As I said last week, I believe the Buffalo Bills penalty problem was not Rex Ryan’s fault. This week, the Bills tidied things up and put forth a winning effort vs the Tennessee Titans.
Going into yesterday’s game, the Bills had committed 17 penalties in their previous matchup with the New York Giants, however, they were able to rectify the situation and wound up with just 7 flags vs Tennesee. Thus far this season, they have three games with a penalty total of 10 or more, while enduring two games with 7 penalties or less.
Seems to me as if this ‘issue’ has been overblown due to a small sample size. There is no doubt that the Bills have committed way too many penalties at key situations through five games, but with plenty of season to go, let’s give this aggressive, talented team a chance to settle in and find their way to a more disciplined approach. Don’t judge a team based off two disastrous games.
