Wheatland-Chili Girls Soccer wins Class D1 Finals earlier this week

The Wheatland-Chili Girls Soccer team moved past Naples on Monday by a final score of 5-0, and with the win, the Wildcats became Section V Class D1 Champions.

Scoring in the title game were Alexis Combs (hat trick), Cassie Parker, and Hannah Callaghan. Assists for W-C were recorded by Morgan Franklin (two), Megan Nolan, and H. Callaghan. Abbie Berl made 1 save in the Wildcats’ victory.

With the win, Wheatland-Chili moved on to their crossover with Andover – who they also defeated by a final score of 2-0. Now having advanced past the Sectional round, Wheatland will move on to the Far West Regional this weekend, where they will face Ellicotville at 1 pm on Saturday. The game will be held at Niagara University.

Congratulations to the Wildcats on their Sectional Title and good luck to the girls this weekend vs Ellicotville!
