Falling just short of a title on Tuesday night, the Alexander Boys Basketball team fell to York in the Finals of the Cal-Mum Tournament by a final score of 51-40. Behind 31-27 at half, and 41-35 at the end of the third, the Trojans were unable to make a late run vs the Golden Knights – eventually falling by the 11-point margin.
Performing well for York were Andrew Guesno, Josh Kobylanski, and Hunter Stella who all scored 12+ points. For Alexander, Dustin Schmeider fell just short of his second-consecutive 20 point game as he finished with 19, while Matt Genaway finished with 12 points on 4 three-pointers.
