Here are a few storylines to be on the lookout for heading into tonight’s Section V Girls Basketball Tournament:
- Batavia earned the top-seed in Class A2 for the first time in school history. Although they are without sharpshooter Madison McCulley going into the tournament, they have picked up the slack as of late behind top-scorer Tiara Filbert, as well as Sam Cecere and Ryann & Taylor Stefaniak.
- Elba recently returned Alex Reigle from injury, and as a result have immediately thrusted themselves into the conversation within their classification. Look for this group to make the semis, at the very least, if all continues to go well.
- Wheatland-Chili is likely to win their classification, as they go into the tournament as the top-seed.
- Check out the first-ever edition of the Batavia’s Best Podcast – which previews each classification within the tournament.
