Cal-Mum’s Geiger earns top finish at LCAA Wrestling Championships, while a few Le Roy Knights finish second

Over the weekend the LCAA Wrestling Championships took place with four local grapplers finishing inside the top two of their respective weight class. Highlighting the list was Cal-Mum’s Cameron Geiger who was the only one to achieve a first place finish, winning over Connor Mcevoy from Keshequa by decision in the 160 lbs final.

The list of second place finishes was as follows:

  • Le Roy’s Andrew Englerth fell to Dansville’s Masin Schuster in 99 lbs final
  • Le Roy’s Josh Englerth fell to Connor Wilkins from Livonia in 113 lbs final
  • Le Roy’s Jon Lauricella fell to Chase Runfola from Letchworth in 120 lbs final (5-4 dec)

Overall, Le Roy finished 5th (108.5), while Cal-Mum finished 10th (55), both were behind top-4 finishers Perry, Keshequa, Avon, and Letchworth. It was the first LCAA Championship for Perry in the Tournament’s 59-year history.
