1. The Batavia Blue Devils defeated Bath on their home field over the weekend, and with the victory, the Devils earned the two seed in Class B where they will face Pal-Mac. The Red Raiders are the seven seed.
2. The Alexander Trojans shut out the Elba Lancers this weekend, and with their win, they will move on to face Avon in the first week of Sectionals. Avon has won four games in a row.
3. The Elba Lancers earned the six seed in Class C and will face Bath next week. The Rams endured several injuries last week, and if they are to remain at less than full strength, Elba can pull off the upset.
4. The Attica Blue Devils acquired the two seed in Class C with their win over Oakfield in Week 7. Attica will play ER/Gananda in the first round, who come into the game as the seven seed.
5. With the regular season ending this past weekend, and the tournament opening on Friday night, I expect a few teams from the area to make some noise in the coming weeks, while Batavia has the best chance to win their Class.
