Following a tough loss to the Alexander Trojans a week ago, the Oakfield Hornets hope to get back on track tonight against a red-hot Holley team who just rolled over Pembroke a week ago. Although they are highly favored in this one, OA will have to put forth a strong effort against the Hawks if they hope to walk away with their third victory of the season.

Reason being, a week ago against Pembroke, I watched this Holley team physically dominate a game for 48 minutes, causing several turnovers and running the ball with high amounts of success. Although the Hornets present a more difficult challenge both offensively and defensively than did Pembroke, I expect Holley to continue to play with great emotion on both sides of the ball and put up a great fight against Oakfield.

However, utilizing a heavy passing attack which has been successful for much of the season, the Hornets will likely force the Hawks out of their comfort zone early on in the game.

In their game against Alexander for example, Holley struggled mightily to defend the pass in certain situations. Giving up several big plays including a few long touchdowns through the air against the Trojans a few weeks ago, the Hawks secondary will remain vulnerable against Oakfield tonight.

For this reason, I see the Hornets walking away with the win tonight. Give me OA in track meet.

Prediction: Oakfield 30 Holley 16
