In Class C1, it seems as if the three local teams involved will have a difficult time making any headway towards a Championship. Beginning tomorrow night, #8 Byron-Bergen (7-12) will host #9 Pembroke (7-12) in an interesting first round matchup to see who will advance to play #1 Mynderse (15-4). #10 Holley (7-12) will also begin Sectional play on Tuesday, as they head to #7 Sodus (7-11) hoping to have a shot at #2 Early College (14-5) in the second round.

It is a tough draw for each of the local teams, as they will have to go through the top-two seeds very early-on in the tournament. Hopefully for the Dragons, Bees, and Hawks, they can find some early momentum and go on an unexpected run at the semis or perhaps the Finals.

I am unsure which is the team to watch in this bracket, as I have not had the opportunity to see any of the others perform during the regular season – nor have I heard much about them. Maybe that is a good sign for the local squads.
