Tyrod Taylor proved something this Sunday vs the Tennessee Titans

Despite an abysmal first half performance vs the Titans on Sunday, Buffalo QB Tyrod Taylor came through in the end for the Bills and was a key factor in their 14-13 victory.

“The quarterback’s (Taylor) got the biggest heart,” said Bills head coach Rex Ryan after the win. “Man it was tough sledding, but he’s got guts, he’s got heart. He wasn’t playing great, but in the end he was the reason we won the game.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Despite the defense absolutely showing up for the vast majority of this game, Taylor’s ability to move the football with his legs during the later portions of the game was indeed the primary reason that the Bills won the football game yesterday afternoon. Without a doubt, in my opinion, Sunday was the Bills QB’s most impressive performance of the season.

When the chips are down in Buffalo, typical Bills quarterbacks consistently find a way to flounder in ways unpredictable by most. However, this time around, with Tyrod Taylor behind the wheel, the Bills found a way to swim when all signs were pointing to them sinking. Taylor’s ability to make plays down the stretch for the Bills was nothing short of life-saving, for, if the Bills had lost this game, the sky would have undoubtedly come crashing down in the Queen City.

Sitting at 2-2 approaching Week 5, many Buffalo fans expressed clear concern regarding the Bills overall outlook following a disappointing loss to the New York Giants – a game in which NY was a road underdog. To make matters worse, after failing to cross midfield throughout the first half, the Buffalo offense would bestow upon its fan base a sense of fear and anguish that they had been feverishly guarding against up until this point in the season.

It doesn’t take Bills fans long to go over the edge of disaster.

That being said, in the face of what looked like another disappointing 2-3 start, Taylor provided the late game effort that will likely be remembered in Bills Land for years to come. Does it equal revenge for the Music City Miracle? No. But it gives Buffalo a chance to remain in the thick of the wildcard race early-on – which will provide the fans with hope heading into a difficult matchup with 5-0 Cincinnati.

Many within the Bills Mafia are thanking TyGod today, and rightfully so. He really came through when it mattered most on Sunday in Tennessee.
