Tonight beginning at about 7:30 pm, the Finals of the Batavia Rotary Girls Basketball Tournament will take place between cross-town rivals Batavia and Notre Dame. Although the Blue Devils will be without one of their top players in Madison McCulley vs the Irish (knee injury), tonight’s action should still make for an exciting game. Here is a brief summary of what I see taking place tonight:

Key Players

Rebecca Krenzer - Notre Dame

Rebecca is a solid force down low for the Irish and will likely present an entertaining matchup with Batavia’s Sam Cecere or Tiara Filbert tonight. Whoever wins that battle, may win the game.

Tiara Filbert - Batavia

Tiara and injured guard Madison McCulley have been the driving forces behind this Batavia team for quite some time. Without her counterpart, I expect Filbert to step up and have a big game tonight.

Outlook

The loss of McCulley is a big one for Batavia. However, still possessing enough talent to compete tonight I believe we should still see a fantastic game at Genesee Community College. And in honor of their fallen teammate, I see the Devils getting it done.

Prediction

Batavia 50 Notre Dame 49
