This week there were several athletes who performed well across all of high school sports. However, I found two that stood out above the rest. Here are my Athletes of the Week:
Ally Uberty – Le Roy Softball
Ally had a week to remember from the circle this week. Here is a brief recap:
– No-hitter, struck out 14 vs Pavilion
– Gave up five hits, struck out 16 vs Keshequa (also 3/3, 2 RBI from the plate)
– Gave up 2 hits, struck out 12 vs Letchworth (also RBI from the plate)
– Struck out 13 vs Avon
Congratulations to Le Roy’s Ally Uberty – our Girls Athlete of the Week.
Joe deFelice – Holley Baseball
Joe endured an incredible amount of success at the plate and on the mound this week. Here is a brief recap:
– Pitched well in the Hawks’ 9-3 win while also going 2/3, with a BB, RBI, and 2 runs scored vs Oakfield
– 3/3, 2 doubles, 2 RBI vs Barker
– 2/4, 2 RBI, game-winning 2-run single vs Lyndonville
