Elba/Byron-Bergen Football
Final Record: 5-3 (Fell in the Sectional round to Lyons/Sodus)
Season Snapshot: The Elba/Byron-Bergen Football team impressed me this season by outperforming what I projected them to be prior to the beginning of the year. The Lancers made the Sectional round, competed for a GR Title, and played overall sound football for much of their 8-game schedule.
Most Impressive Player: RB Richard Flores
Next Season Outlook: The Lancers will prepare to lose plenty from their Varsity roster this season and I am unaware of what they have coming up to fill the number of empty spots. However, equipped with a knowledgable, hard working coaching staff, I’m sure the Lancers will continue to compete within the league, and beyond. Robert Stevens, Adam Walter. among others, will lead this team going forward.
