A Blue Devil and a Trojan highlight my list this week

This week there were several athletes who performed well across all of high school sports. However, I found two that stood out above the rest. Here are my Athletes of the Week:
Karli Phillips – Alexander Softball
This past week Alexander Softball’s Karli Phillips hurled a no-hitter against Avon, striking out eight. It was her best performance of the season to date, and enough to earn her Athlete of the Week honors.
Congratulations to Alexander’s Karli Phillips – our Girls Athlete of the Week.
Quinten Weis – Batavia Baseball
Quinten’s selection as Athlete of the Week is primarily due to his performance in the Batavia Rotary Club Baseball Tournament on Saturday. For the Blue Devils, Weis earned the win on the mound in their first game, then completed his day by knocking in the winning run in the Championship Game.
Congratulations to Batavia’s Quinten Weis – our Boys Athlete of the Week.
