Nick performed admirably versus some tough competition this season. Here is his profile:
Nick Shenck – Holley High School – Wrestling
Career Highlight #1 – “Winning Sectionals.”
Career Highlight #2 – “Earning my 100th win.”
Career Highlight #3 – “Becoming a GR All Star.”
Favorite thing about High School Sports: “My favorite thing about this sport was how mentally tough it made me.”
Most memorable moment in High School Sports career: “Winning a Sectional Title.”
Plans after High School: “Attending College for Criminal Justice.”
AB: Holley has a great wrestling tradition. Where does that tradition start? Who helps build that tradition?
NS: It starts in youth wrestling and coach Grillo helps build that tradition.
AB: Your coach is one of the winningest coaches in High School wrestling history. What does he do to help your team on a daily basis?
NS: Our coach helps us stay forced and become better people every day.
AB: What will you miss most about being a wrestler once your career is over?
NS: I am going to miss that feeling of getting my hand raised (when I win).
AB: How do you feel overcoming tough times on the mat has effected you as a person?
NS: I feel overcoming tough times on the mast made me realize how mentally strong I have become.
AB: Finally, what is your favorite part about being a wrestler?
NS: My favorite part of being a wrestler is working hard to better yourself, and seeing how far you came and still can go.
