Colden and his teammates came incredibly close to advancing to the sectional finals this season. Here is his profile:

Colden George – Attica High School – Boys Basketball

AB: As a senior, was it that much tougher to see your season come to an end one game short of the Sectional Finals, knowing it was your last game?

CG: No. When the game ended and we went back in the locker room the whole thing was incomprehensible.  The hardest part of falling one game short was going to Blue Cross to watch two teams play in what was supposed to be our game.

AB: What will you remember most from this season?

CG: I will remember the crowd getting louder than I have ever heard and all the support we got from the community.

AB: Do you feel you accomplished all you set out to individually? Or was there anything you left on the table?

CG: No there is always a feeling of maybe I could have accomplished more or played better in particular games.  The main thing left on the table is the sectional crown.

AB: What do you see from your younger teammates going forward into next year? Do you feel they can continue the success you guys have endured the past couple years?

CG: The team has a great player in Owen to build around and Levi is top-tier as well, but I feel their season will be determined by the role players on the team and how much work they are willing to put in individually and as a team this offseason. It will be fun to come back and watch.

AB: Finally, what would you tell the younger players out there who have a long career ahead of them? What would be your one bit of advice for them?

CG: Basketball is the greatest sport in the world and it deserves all the time and effort you can possibly give whether it be an in season practice or game, or if its an offseason personal workout at the park, and if you put the work in you will see tremendous results. Never take one day of the process for granted.

Colden has left the Devils Boys Basketball program in great shape. Expect this team to continue the success they have built over the past few seasons.
