Here are my selections:
Players of the Week:
Anthony Gallo – Batavia – 265 all-purpose yards; 5 total touchdowns
Anthony Gallo looked like Barry Sanders on Friday night. Against a beat up Bath team, the elusive Batavia running back accumulated a ridiculous 265 all-purpose yards while outrunning the Rams to a 5 touchdown effort. Gallo couldn’t be caught this past weekend, and ran his way into my Players of the Week.

Allen Chatt – Oakfield – 21 of 52 passing, 316 yards, 3 touchdowns
Helping a number of his receivers make the list in recent weeks, Allen Chatt finally returns to our Players of the Week after throwing 52 times versus Attica. Although his completion percentage did not set the world on fire, Chatt threw for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Blue Devils, while keeping his team in the game over four quarters.

Jake Strzelec– Attica – 28 carries, 188 yards rushing, 3 touchdowns
Jake Strzelec continued his unbelievable season this past week versus the Hornets. Running for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns, Strzelec did so in workhorse fashion, toting the rock 28 times while helping his team win their 7th straight game to begin the season. The Blue Devils now move on to the Sectional tournament as the two seed in Class C.
What a great week of football. Hopefully some of the local teams can advance this weekend in the first round of Sectionals.
