Only a Junior, Shea has already become a force to be reckoned with in the GR League. Often recording over 15 rebounds in a given game, the 6’1″ forward has been able to lead her team to a tie for first place with Elba after 14 games, and will continue to be their spark going forward. Here is her profile:

Class: Junior
Favorite thing about high school sports: “I get to play with a team full of girls that I always enjoy being around. The fan-support at Notre Dame is the best around!”
Most memorable moments of high school sports career: “Going to States – and winning it! – for basketball my freshman year; making it as far as regional’s for volleyball this past year; beating Elba in the semi-finals my freshman year for basketball.”
Future plans after high school: “My future plan is to go to college, play volleyball and hopefully start a career in Criminal Justice.”

AB: Growing up, who was your sports hero?
SN: Skylar Diggins, and the Penn State Volleyball team.
AB: While playing, what makes you nervous?
SN: Thinking that I might not play to my best ability.
AB: Is there any other sport you wish you would have played growing up?
SN: I wish I could have played more soccer.
AB: What else do you like to do in your spare time besides sports?
SN: I hang out with my friends, and I go to sporting events to cheer on some of the other ND sports teams
AB: What has been your biggest accomplishment as an athlete?
SN: My biggest accomplishments have been being named 1st Team All-State in volleyball this year; winning basketball States as a freshman; being named a Genesee Region All Star for volleyball 3 years in a row, and for basketball last year; making the VolleyFX U17 team out of Rochester this year.
