After careful deliberation, here are my top-5 teams in the GR League:
5.) Notre Dame
Notre Dame has really turned things around after an extended rough patch during the middle portion of this season. With their team now at 100%, the Irish could play spoiler down the stretch for the team’s still in contention for the GR League Title.
4.) Pembroke
Pembroke has stumbled on a few occasions this season but remain as one of the most-skilled, and most-disciplined teams in the GR League. They will have a chance to work their way into the top-3 by season’s end.
3.) Lyndonville
Lyndonville has remained red hot since a win over now #1 Attica, and their drop from 2 to 3 really comes as a result of Attica’s dominating victory over Elba last week.
2.) Elba
The Lancers have done plenty to earn spot inside the top-5 this season, but after a blowout loss to Attica last week, I simply was forced to remove them from the top-spot. Had they made the game with the Devils a bit more competitive than they did, perhaps they would have stayed as my #1 team, but that was not the case. Going forward, Elba has a tough schedule to finish out the season.
1.) Attica
Attica has suffered a few questionable losses this season, but after a huge win vs previous #1 Elba last week, those losses are in the past. The Devils have seemed to take a much-needed step forward as of late, and I expect they will finish their GR League season without another loss.
