Although Spencer’s career came to a close with a tough loss to the Irondequoit Eagles last night, there is no denying what he accomplished along the way. Here is his profile:

AB: What do you enjoy most about being out on the ice?

SM: Getting to just play the game every day. It’s my favorite sport and if it was up to me I’d be out there all day.

AB: Who has contributed most to your success as a hockey player since you began playing?

SM: My Dad because he always has constructive criticism for how I can be better. And the Cryer family as well for always letting me stay over after late games and always being there for me all throughout my career.

AB: How does hockey’s physical nature contribute to your appreciation for the sport?

SM: There is way more intensity than any other sport in my opinion and it’s played with pure emotion so you play every shift like it’s your last – there’s no feeling like it.

AB: What’s been your most memorable individual accomplishment on the ice?

SM: Scoring goals playing against Batavia, winning Sectionals, and getting hit through the glass.

AB: Where do you see hockey taking you in the future?

SM: I want to play college hockey for the Lewis University Flyers.

Misiak had a fantastic career in the Blue and Gold. Now headed to the college level, I’m sure he will have further success ahead of him as he tries to become a vital part of the Lewis University Hockey team. Congratulations to Spencer on a great past several years on the ice!
